LARRY LI
- Mr. Larry (Guangxin) Li has 20 years of experience in early-stage investments and the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. He mainly focuses on Healthcare and TMT, and services as vice chairman of the Shanghai Venture Capital Association and China Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA). Mr. Li is a founding partner of DFJ DragonFund China, and currently manages five dollar funds and two RMB funds. He has successfully invested in MicroPort Medical (0853, HK), Kinetic Medical (300326, Chinex), iKang Healthcare (KANG, Nasdaq), Vital Therapies (VTL, Nasdaq), ACTS (Nasdaq) and others. Mr. Li worked as a partner in the Shanghai ZhangJiang Venture in 2000, founded Shanghai International VC (HK) in 2004. He was the director of Shanghai JinQiao Hi-Tech Innovation Center from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Li worked as a research fellow in the University of Michigan, got his Ph.D. degree in Applied Mechanics from Shanghai Jiaotong University.

He has seeded 10 unicorns and has led/managed healthcare and digital investments. Some notable investments he led includes 1047 Games*, VeChain*, Ledger*, Coinbase, Binance*, QTUM*, OASIS*, IOTEX*, Sheeld, Maker’s Place, Splashtop*, Yeepay, Jin Jing Electric Motors*, AltoBeam, Vicarious Artificial Intelligence*, Broadbus (MOT), ClinChoice, EDDA*, Atomwise, Verge Genomics,
CloudMedx, and Pretty Litter. Prior to starting his own fund, Andy had various roles. He was a Partner and Member of the investment committee at ABB Technologies Ventures and Infineon Ventures. Before making Partner at ABB, he was an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Technology Group in Palo Alto. During his time at Credit Suisse, Andy worked on the Magma IPO (SNPS) and Cyras (CIEN) acquisition. Prior to Credit Suisse, Andy was a senior engineer and marketing manager at Intel and was responsible for chip design and market enabling for Pentium and Itanium processors. Andy holds a BSEE in engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, an MSEE in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He was awarded the Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate by The University of Texas and
holds one U.S. patent in silicon germanium thin film materials.
He currently resides in Portola Valley, CA with his wife Emily and their two sons: Maxwell and Thatcher. He is an avid skier and meditation practitioner and in his spare time, he teaches finance and fundraising
classes to students and entrepreneurs.

JAMES CANTRE
James R. Cantre started his crypto journey in 2013 in Shanghai, China, where he completed his postgraduate study (Fudan University). In 2016 he began his career in the blockchain industry, joining numerous teams responsible for building blockchain infrastructure. Since the ICO era James has been involved as an investor in the blockchain ecosystem and he owns the first ever themed NFT collection in the space. His current collection includes Beeple’s very first NFT (https://coinzero.art/), as well as early NFTs by renowned crypto artists like Hackatao and Alotta Money.
Prior to joining Draper Dragon, James founded Scarcity Labs to build upon and grow the non-fungible token ecosystem; creating platforms, communities and applications that open the utility of these technologies to new potentials. In 2021 Scarcity Labs was acquired by DraftKings where James served as Product Director.
KAVAN CANEKERATNE
Kavan first invested in digital assets in 2017. He is very excited about how they are enabling creators, developers, and users to capture value from the ecosystems in which they participate efficiently. He firmly believes cryptocurrencies will set the basis for a more inclusive financial system. Prior to joining DraperDragon, Kavan was an investor at Dolby Family Ventures, focused on early-stage deep tech companies. During his tenure at Dolby, he facilitated investments across many industries including Autonomous Vehicles, Battery Technology, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing. Kavan began his career at J.P. Morgan in the investment banking division. His team specialized in the Internet, Semiconductor, Systems, and Software industries and advised companies on M&A and equity / debt financings. He had the opportunity to work on transactions for transformational tech companies like Amazon (Debt Financing), Cloudflare (IPO), and Fiverr (Follow-on Offering). Kavan has a BA from the University of San Diego, where he majored in Finance and was a member of the school’s golf team.
MASA YOSHIDA
Masa is responsible for the finance/accounting team at Draper Dragon. He started his career as an auditor at Big 4 accounting firm. Prior to joining Draper Dragon, he worked as a controller at start-up company (engaged in the proprietary trading of digital assets) as well as semiconductor companies.
FRANK MIAW
Frank works with the operations team at Draper Dragon. He started his career as a network engineer. He was formerly a cofounder, corporate counsel and manager at several startups. Prior to that he acted as general counsel for multiple mid-sized companies where he specialized in transactions, employment and compliance.
STEVEN PU
Steven is a fellow at Draper Dragon. He is an undergraduate at Stanford University and an organizer at the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students(BASES). He is also very interested in web3 and blockchain primitives. He seeks to connect with more startups and founders in this emerging field.
ALEEHA BANERJEE
Aleeha Banerjee is an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying International Relations and History. She has previous experience in the non-profit, start-up, and research spaces. Currently, Aleeha is interested in web3 and blockchain, more specifically the future of cryptocurrency as it relates to global financial systems.
MAX LEE
Max is a fellow at Draper Dragon focused on deal sourcing in the Berkeley web3 community. A third year electrical engineering and computer science major at UC Berkeley, Max specializes in understanding startups’ use of smart contracts and cryptography. Outside of web3, Max is interested in machine learning and digital health.
