Founded in 2006 by Tim Draper, Larry Li, Andy Tang, and Bobby Chao, the firm connects Silicon Valley and Asia through offices in Silicon Valley, Toronto, Shanghai, and South Korea. As a core member of the extended Draper network, Draper Dragon draws on two decades of venture capital experience and the resources of one of the world's most established global investor networks. From 2006 to 2015, the firm's early investments spanned semiconductors, AI, and enterprise software (the frontier technology of that era), before it built one of the earliest digital-asset-focused funds within the Draper network. That same lens now shapes its approach to AI: the investment team has backed more than 130 companies, with a portfolio that spans AI infrastructure and agent systems alongside leading names in digital assets: Coinbase, Oklo, Otter AI, Ledger, Gemini, ether.fi and CoinFlow, among others.
